Change is slow, but we have some progress!

Well we’re nearly half way through the pregnancy already. It does go by so quickly! Most of the changes have been taking place internally as the baby grows and develops. Recently we’ve been able to see the changes externally as well, as my belly begins to show.  Refer to photos- week 19 vs week 15

Time to check out the bun in the oven, again

The 18 week ultrasound. I reckon that was the last time we see the little one until its on the outside. While its nice to ensure that everything is golden, he/she is developing appropriately and we’re curious to see what’s going on in there, its also fine to just let them do their thing, without the intrusion.

Clint and I both got the feeling  jelly bean knew we were peering in. It did put on a good show, however, tossing and turning, kicking its tiny arms and legs. Its all amazing stuff and continues to boggle my mind- all the huge changes in such a tiny little being. Heart rate was 144bpm. The 4 chambers of the heart were visible. Both kidneys seen, as were the bladder & stomach. Nose & lips good. Bones and spine developing normally. Brain development underway. I’m finally starting to show, just a little. Which is great as it sure doesn’t look like there’s a whole lot of room to move around in there!
